Billing and cancellation

This page explains how paid plans work on VibeYoung. It is part of our Terms of use.

Prices

Prices are set in US dollars. Paying for several months at once gives a discount, and totals are always whole dollars.

If you pay by M-Pesa, the price is shown in Kenyan shillings at that day's exchange rate, rounded up to the next shilling, before you confirm.

No card to start

The Free plan never asks for a card. We only ask for payment when you choose to upgrade, and we never charge you automatically for going over your plan's limits.

Renewals

• Card payments renew automatically at the end of each period, for the same length and price.
• M-Pesa can't renew on its own. Three days before your plan ends we email you a renewal link, and two days before we send a payment prompt to your phone. Nothing is taken until you approve it.
• If a renewal fails, we try again 2, 4 and 7 days after the first failure. Your plan keeps working for 7 days while we retry, then moves to Free.
• Every payment gets a receipt by email, and all receipts are in Settings.

Cancelling

• Cancel any time in Settings → Plan and billing. It takes two clicks; no calls or emails needed.
• Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then moves to Free. Your apps, feedback and credits stay.
• You can resume a cancelled plan before it ends.

Refunds

Payments aren't refunded, because your plan stays active for the whole period you paid for. If you were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same thing, email support@vibeyoung.dev and we will put it right.

Rewards and invites

• Free months earned with credits are added after your current plan ends.
• Invite discounts apply to your next paid month. A friend counts once they have tested two apps from other makers.

Under 18

Members aged 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian to make any payment.
