Where to share your web app to find your first users

Communities and launch sites where builders share new web apps, and how to post so people actually try yours instead of scrolling past.

Get it tested before you launch

You only get one first impression on a launch site. Before you post anywhere big, have a few people use your app and fix what they find. A launch that breaks on sign-up wastes the attention you worked for.

Places builders share new apps

Each community has its own rules about self-promotion, so read them first and take part before you post your own link.

  1. Reddit: communities for side projects and for the AI tool you built with welcome new apps if you share what you learned, not just a link.
  2. Hacker News: a Show HN post works best for something people can try right away, with a short, honest description.
  3. Product Hunt: plan the day, write a clear tagline, and be there to answer comments.
  4. Indie Hackers: share the story of building it, including what didn't work.
  5. Launch directories and beta lists: many accept free submissions, though some have queues or paid fast-tracks. Check the terms before you pay.
  6. Your AI tool's own community: the Discord or forum for Lovable, Bolt, Cursor or Replit often has a channel for showing what you built.

Write a post people click

Lead with who it's for and the one problem it solves, add a screenshot or short video, and say what kind of feedback you want. Answer every comment, and turn the good ideas into your next version.
